Needs

Create a modular self-serve display system that enabled local residents of Côte-des-Neiges and Notre-Dame-de Grâce ( CDN-NDG ) as well as éco-quartiers to broadcast local information.

Challenges

  • Protect the posters from bad weather;
  • Enable users to attach posters without glue, staples or adhesive tape;
  • Minimize the costs of installation;
  • Minimize the impact of the product at the end of life cycle;
  • Use mechanical assembly.

Solutions

  • Create a display system with an easy-to-use electrostatic attachment system;
  • Use 100% recyclable materials;
  • Design for disassembly, recycling and replacement.

Results

An attractive, robust and eco-responsible piece of urban furniture that is enthusiastically used by people who live in both neighborhoods. Designed in collaboration with Antoine Laverdière.
